Assignment Title: In-service Presentation: The Hiring Process
What I learned: I learned how to deliver a presentation as a manager, to employees. I learned how to present to people on a level that is easy for employees of all backgrounds to understand. I also learned about the complexities of the hiring process for the employer, as well as from the perspective of an employee.
Reflection to the assignment: This assignment is similar to one that I had completed in a previous class. For this assignment, I felt more comfortable delivering an in-service in front of my peers. I was able to look back at notes from a previous class, as well as complete some research with a partner to compile the final presentation.
Relevance to the profession: I know that at some point in my nutrition/dietetic career, I will need to give a presentation or provide some sort of other educational material not only to my peers, but others in the profession. It is important to understand the education level of your audience to be able to deliver an effective presentation.
